A group of young Hawaii businessmen (including myself) decided to build their own offices. The project is a collection of simple sleek buildings arraigned and connected to create interesting courtyard and open spaces in between. A basic building module was designed and then repeated for ease of construction and economy. The open ceilings allowed for interior loft mezzanines thus adding bonus floor area. The shed roofs are reflective metal and the thick walls are heavily insulated. Low and high venting window placement and deep overhangs create a passive cooling system and natural light. The project is the trifecta of winning design, business and partnership.
